Canon has unveiled its latest innovation, the imagePROGRAF series, tailored for large-format printing needs across various sectors like corporate offices, engineering hubs, and print shops.
The Canon imagePROGRAF series comprises the TM-5240, TM-5340, TM-5250, TM-5255, TM-5350, and TM-5355, presenting a versatile range of single-function and multifunction printers. These printers promise striking prints on plain paper at exceptional speeds while sporting a sleek design with a convenient flat top for an effortless roll paper setup.
Boasting an accelerated image processing engine, the “L-COA PRO II,” these printers facilitate rapid startup from sleep mode and amplify productivity for producing drawings and posters. The TM-5350/5355 models can churn out roughly 3.2 sheets of drawing prints per minute, 28% faster than prior models.
“Our latest imagePROGRAF printers are equipped with advanced features, enabling businesses to optimize their processes and achieve greater efficiency,” said Kenichiro Kitamura, director of Office Imaging Products (OIP), Canon Philippines.
The inclusion of the “Direct Print Plus” free application streamlines urgent print tasks by enabling batch printing of diverse file formats through simple drag-and-drop functionality. The complimentary web app “PosterArtist” empowers users to craft posters and flyers from a rich array of templates.
Enhanced with specially formulated magenta ink, these printers excel in reproducing crucial details in CAD drawings and high-quality posters even on plain paper. Longevity is assured with the use of all-color pigment inks, safeguarding prints from premature fading. Borderless posters on roll papers eliminate the need for post-printing margin trimming.
Designed for user convenience, the printers flaunt a flat top design that simplifies daily operations like loading media and attaching roll holders. Features like paper type detection reduce loading time and labor costs, while a widened printer panel provides a comprehensive view of remaining roll paper and ink levels at a glance.
The series introduces a significant reduction in operating noise during printing, especially evident in the TM-5240/5340 models, operating at about 39dB, nearly a third quieter than previous models, ensuring a quieter work environment.
